The M20 is based on the M-Module ANSI mezzanine standard. It can be used as an I/O extension in any type of bus system, i.e. CPCI, PXI, VME or on any type of stand-alone SBC. Appropriate M-Module carrier cards in 3U, 6U and other formats are available from MEN or other manufacturers.
With the M20 M-Module memory cards can be used as multi-purpose storage devices. The card slot unit is located on a separate PCB. The boards are connected by a small flat-cable. This allows installation of the card slot anywhere in a rack just like a floppy disk drive.
A memory card is the perfect solution for applications in rough industrial environments.
The M20 module supports memory cards (PCMCIA type I) of SRAM and Flash type. ATA is not supported.
